(Patria) - The Appellate Panel of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina has overturned the acquittal verdict in the Dženan Memić case, ordering a retrial before the Appellate Department of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
"By the decision of the Court of BiH, the appeal of the prosecution against the first-instance verdict was accepted, the acquittal verdict for the accused was overturned, and a hearing was scheduled before the Appellate Panel. The prosecuting prosecutors in the case will prove the allegations of the indictment before the Appellate Panel of the Court of BiH," the BiH Prosecutor's Office announced.
The first-instance panel of the Court of BiH acquitted all the accused in the Memić case, after which the BiH Prosecutor's Office filed an appeal with the Appellate Panel, which found significant violations of the first-instance procedure.
We remind you that in July 2021, the BiH Prosecutor's Office indicted Zijad Mutap, Hasan Dupovac, Alisa Ramić, (Mutap), Josip Barić, and Muamer Ožegović.
