Appellate Court in Belgrade quashes verdict for Darko Šarić and others

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The Appellate Court in Belgrade has quashed the verdict for Darko Šarić and others convicted of money laundering and ordered a retrial!

Darko Šarić, recall, was sentenced to nine years in prison, Nebojša Jestrović to five years, and the other defendants to sentences ranging from two to seven years in prison.

This court confirmed the acquittals issued for Dubravka Šrtbac and Nemanja Krstić, and they will not be retried.

„The Special Department for Organized Crime of the Appellate Court in Belgrade, after holding a council session, rendered a verdict confirming the first-instance verdict in the acquitting part, while the first-instance verdict was quashed in the convicting part for all defendants, as well as in the part where the indictment was rejected for the defendant. Dušan Kovačević and Nebojša Spasić, and in that part the case was returned to the first-instance court for retrial“, states the decision of the Appellate Court, as reported by Nova.rs.
