Farmers' Appeal: Authorities Late with Grain Purchase Price, We Will Import More Expensive Goods

 SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The Association of Farmers of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina issued a press release requesting urgent action from the Commodity Reserves Directorate of the Federation of BiH and the offer of a purchase price for wheat and barley.

- The harvest is almost at its end (wheat, barley), and the purchase price is still not officially known. We demand urgent action and a price offer from the commodity reserves of the Federation of BiH. As we know, this year the commodity reserves received significantly more funds from the budget. Funds were allocated precisely so that it would be possible to react promptly and purchase as much domestic wheat as possible. Therefore, it is high time for the purchase price of wheat and its procurement - it was announced from the Association of Farmers of the FBiH.

As stated by this association, according to their findings from the field, the same things are happening as before - private individuals are buying wheat and preparing it for export to Turkey.

- Commodity reserves should prevent this, of course in cooperation with the authorities, so that we do not again find ourselves in a situation where we import expensive goods - the Association of Farmers of the FBiH stated.
