(Patria) - Anis Kalajdžić (33), suspected of the brutal murder of his ex-girlfriend Aldina Jahić (32) in Mostar last night, has been handed over to the Prosecutor's Office of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton (HNK) after police processing.
Kalajdžić was arrested last night shortly after the crime was committed.
So far, the investigation has shown that the victim tried to escape from the attacker from the area of the Bus Station, and in panic, she ran into a nearby fast-food restaurant. The attacker caught up with her there and fired a shot from a pistol.
Police arrived at the scene within minutes of the report, but according to official information, the victim was already dead.
The suspect, along with the relevant documentation, was handed over to the prosecutor, who will decide on further measures to be taken against him, writes Hercegovina.info.
A day after the girl's murder, representatives of the MUP of HNK stated at a press conference that the victim had not officially reported violence to the police before, although the suspect had sent her threatening messages.
It was also emphasized that the perpetrator did not legally possess the weapon with which he committed the murder.
At the conference, it was confirmed that an indictment had previously been filed against him for endangering security in another case.
