Anika Kešelj acting chief prosecutor of the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office

SARAJevo, (Patria) - Anika Kešelj was elected as the first deputy chief prosecutor and acting chief prosecutor of the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office at today's session of the HJPC. The public call will be announced on March 8.

The appointment of the acting chief prosecutor of the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office followed the appointment of chief prosecutor Dalida Burzić as a judge at the Court of BiH in mid-February. The acting chief prosecutor will hold this position until the completion of the public call procedure and the appointment of a new chief prosecutor of the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office.

Anika Kešelj was born on 26.11.1965 in Nevesinje, where she completed the Secondary School of Economics. She graduated from the Faculty of Law at the University of Sarajevo in 1991.

She completed her internship at the District Court in Novi Sad, and after passing the bar exam in 1996, she worked in the economy. She worked as a lawyer in Novi Sad until 2001, when she was appointed judge of the Basic Court in Nevesinje.

She was appointed prosecutor at the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo Canton in November 2003. By the decision of the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council, in May 2015, she was appointed deputy chief prosecutor of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo Canton.
