Ammar Šabić sentenced to two years in prison for robbery

(Patria) - After accepting the plea agreement, the Municipal Court in Sarajevo found Ammar Šabić guilty of the criminal offense of robbery. He was sentenced to two years in prison.

The accused is charged with approaching a female person from behind on March 5, 2024, around 6:35 PM, in Mis Irbina street number 14, at the moment she was unlocking and opening the entrance door of the building where she lives. The accused then pushed her into the entrance hall and said, "Give me your bag, if you don't, I'll have to hit you." When the victim refused to hand over her bag, he hit her, causing her to fall down the stairs, and then kicked her in the face again.

He stole her bag, which contained, among other things, money in the amount of 2,570.00 BAM, in various denominations. The accused started to flee but was soon apprehended by police officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Sarajevo Canton.
