(Patria) - The Municipal Court in Sarajevo accepted the proposal of the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office (KS) and extended the detention of Amir Pašić Faća by another two months.
He is on trial for psychological violence under an indictment accusing him of insulting the dignity of four female journalists, the Deputy Minister for Human Rights and Refugees of BiH, and the Minister of Internal Affairs of FBiH.
His detention was extended due to the risk of re-offending.
The indictment, filed by the KS Prosecutor's Office in January of this year and confirmed by the Municipal Court, charges Pašić with insulting the dignity of journalists, a deputy minister, and a minister during 2025, using profanity and insults via the social networks TikTok and YouTube, thereby violating their psychological integrity.
As stated by the Prosecutor's Office at the time, this was an intense, sensationalist, highly offensive, and humiliating outburst by the suspect aimed at violating the personality of the injured parties.
Pašić was arrested at the end of October last year in HNK while wanted and has been in detention ever since.
