Americans confirm: A missile was fired at "Boeing 777"

A Malaysian passenger plane, "Boeing 777", crashed on Thursday in Ukraine, near the border with Russia, reports Reuters, according to the BiH news agency Patria.

Anton Gerashchenko, advisor to the Ukrainian Minister of Internal Affairs, stated that the plane was shot down by a surface-to-air missile. Gerashchenko claims that the "Buk" missile was fired by Russian separatists, with whom Serbian mercenaries are also fighting.

Chetniks from Serbia who came as volunteers to fight on the side of Russian separatists also fought in Bosnia and Herzegovina for Republika Srpska. This was confirmed a few months ago by Bratislav Živković, one of the Chetniks, in a report by the increasingly popular global network "Vice News".

The most famous reporter of this media house, Simon Ostrovsky, spoke with Živković on several occasions, including a situation at one of the checkpoints between Sevastopol and Simferopol, the two largest cities in Crimea.

"I came from Kruševac. Tsar Lazar set off for Kosovo from there, it is the old capital of Serbia," said Živković, confirming that he, as well as other Chetniks who were in Crimea at the time, had also fought in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, and Kosovo.

Reuters writes that there were 295 people on board the Malaysian plane. It is stated that the "Boeing" was on a flight from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur, and that it fell from an altitude of 10,000 meters, and that no one had a chance to survive, writes Patria.

On the other hand, American intelligence services have "confirmed" that a surface-to-air missile was fired at the Malaysian Boeing, but it has not yet been determined who did it. ABC News also published similar information, citing sources in the security apparatus.

On the official website of the pro-Russian separatists, it is stated that the Malaysian aircraft crashed because it was shot down by a Ukrainian aircraft, which was subsequently shot down by pro-Russian forces.

"Eyewitnesses saw a Ukrainian fighter jet attack the passenger Boeing 777. After that, the passenger plane broke in half and fell into the territory of the Luhansk Republic (a self-proclaimed republic of pro-Russian separatists in eastern Ukraine). After that attack, the Ukrainian aircraft itself was shot down in the territory of the Luhansk Republic," the official website of that "republic" states.

Russian President Vladimir Putin blamed Ukraine for the downing of the Malaysian plane in the evening. He said that this tragedy would not have happened if there had been peace in that country and if the military operation had not been resumed in southeastern Ukraine, BBC reported Putin's words, alluding to the armed offensive by the authorities in Kyiv against separatists who declared independent republics of Donetsk and Luhansk and want to join the Russian Federation.

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko issued a statement claiming that the plane crash in the east of his country was the result of a terrorist act.

World media report that today's accident occurred just a few months after the disappearance of Malaysian flight 8 on March 8, which has not yet been found, reports Patria.
