Americans did not invite Dodik to reception

The reception organized by the Embassy of the United States of America in Bosnia and Herzegovina last week in honor of the arrival of the long-awaited Ambassador Maureen Cormack caused great interest among political and public officials from both entities.

The most frequent comment at the reception itself was why the President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, was absent, reports the Patria News Agency.

As leaked from well-informed diplomatic sources, as learned by BN Television, Dodik was not even invited that night. Republika Srpska was represented by numerous high-ranking officials, politicians from the top of SDS, PDP, but also two SNSD members, Nikola Špirić and Sredoje Nović.

In her inaugural speech, Ambassador Cormack, while greeting the attendees, specifically addressed the Chairman and Serb member of the Presidency of BiH Mladen Ivanić and the Bosniak member of the Presidency of BiH Bakir Izetbegović.
