(Patria) - Two top Biden administration officials held indirect talks with their Iranian counterparts this week in an attempt to avoid an escalation of regional attacks, Axios reported yesterday.
The talks, which included President Joe Biden's Middle East advisor Brett McGurk and the acting US envoy to Iran Abram Paley, marked the first round of talks between the US and Iran since January, Axios reported, citing Reuters.
The talks follow Iran's missile and drone attack on Israel on April 13.
