(Patria) - Two Democratic senators have asked the Biden administration to review whether regular contacts between SpaceX CEO Elon Musk and Russian President Vladimir Putin should prompt a review of Musk's involvement in U.S. government and space company contracts.
Senators Jeanne Shaheen and Jack Reed, who chairs the Armed Services Committee, requested the Justice Department and the Pentagon to conduct a review, citing reports of Musk's contacts with Russian officials over the past two years.
"These relationships between a well-known U.S. adversary and Mr. Musk, a beneficiary of billions of dollars in U.S. government funds, raise serious questions," the senators wrote, as reported by Reuters.
