(Patria) - The chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee said he is concerned about the decision of President Joe Biden's campaign to join the TikTok app, as well as the message that this move sends.
Democratic Senator Mark Warner said he is concerned about the national security implications of Chinese-owned TikTok and the campaign's decision to join, Reuters reported.
“I think we still need to find a way to follow India, which banned TikTok,” Warner said on the sidelines of an event.
“I'm a little concerned about the mixed message,” he added.
TikTok is one of the most popular platforms in the United States, and many in the country want to ban it because it is Chinese-owned.
Biden is running for a second term in the White House this year.
