US Senator Graham calls Ukrainian incursion into Russia bold and brilliant

(Patria) - US Republican Senator Lindsey Graham called Ukraine's cross-border operation into Russia's Kursk region "brilliant" and "bold" during a visit to Kyiv on Monday, and urged the Biden administration to provide Ukraine with the weapons it needs, Reuters reported.

As Russia continues to fight to repel the seven-day Ukrainian incursion, Ukraine's top commander said Kyiv controls about 1,000 square kilometers in the Kursk region.

Graham said this during a visit to Kyiv with Democratic Senator Richard Blumenthal.

"What do I think about Kursk? Bold, brilliant, beautiful. Just keep going," he told reporters.

"The bottom line is with the administration... Give them the weapons they need to win a war they can't afford to lose," he added.

During a meeting with the Senate delegation, President Volodymyr Zelenskiy thanked the United States for its support.

"We discussed what exactly is needed to bring this war to a just end, including our need to use long-range weapons," he later posted on social media X.
