US Envoy Witkoff traveled to Geneva for talks with Russians

(Patria) - Special US Presidential Envoy Steve Witkoff has traveled to Geneva where he is expected to participate in the next round of negotiations on resolving the conflict in Ukraine, a source at Geneva airport told TASS, the agency reported late last night.


"The plane of the special US Presidential Envoy took off for our country," the source said, adding that Witkoff is expected to arrive on Tuesday morning.


Talks between Russia, the United States, and Ukraine will be held on February 17 and 18.


US Secretary of State Marco Rubio previously announced that Washington would be represented by Witkoff and businessman Jared Kushner.


The Russian delegation will be led by presidential aide Vladimir Medinsky.
