Hrasnica clinic closed, about twenty employees of Ilidža Health Center in self-isolation

SARAJEVO, (Patria) – Following the death of a 52-year-old woman who tested positive for coronavirus after her death, the Hrasnica clinic has been closed until further notice, and the Ilidža Health Center, to which the woman was brought on Tuesday, has been disinfected, confirmed Arman Šarkić, spokesperson for the JU Health Center KS, for the Patria News Agency.

He stated that efforts are underway to find another location for the Hrasnica clinic.

When asked if the employees of the Ilidža Health Center are in self-isolation following yesterday's case, Šarkić said that this is mandatory procedure and involves 15 to 20 people, with further prescribed treatment.

As Mirza Hadžiabdić from the Ministry of Internal Affairs KS confirmed for the Patria News Agency, a woman without signs of life was brought to the Ilidža Health Center by an ambulance from Hrasnica at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, where death was determined.

Hadžiabdić stated that the prosecutor of the KS Prosecutor's Office was informed, but there are no elements for further involvement of the Prosecutor's Office and members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs KS.

The deceased woman had a high fever for the last 12 days and repeatedly requested testing, which was refused. The company where the woman worked also tried to arrange testing, but that was not possible either.

Employees of this company contacted the relevant epidemiological service for further instructions and possible testing. It is important to note that the deceased woman had not been coming to work, and had a high fever since March 15 (Sunday).

So far, the KS Institute of Public Health has not commented on this case, which is expected at today's press conferences of both the KS Government and the Federal Crisis Staff.
