
The BiH Embassy in Prague, which non-residentially covers the Slovak Republic, organized presentations of the natural and cultural-historical beauties of BiH, with a special focus on Herzegovina, in the city of Poprad in Slovakia. The presentation was prepared in cooperation with the Slovak Association of Tour Operators and Travel Agencies (SACKA), reports the Patria News Agency.
The Ambassador of BiH to the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic, Danka Savić, welcomed the gathered guests, including representatives of 80 Slovak agencies, and invited them to visit our country. She emphasized that Bosnia and Herzegovina and Slovakia are very similar, but still not sufficiently known to each other, and that cooperation in the field of tourism is an excellent opportunity to connect our countries.
The representative of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton Tourist Board in the Czech Republic, Aida Mujačić, spoke to the present representatives of Slovak travel agencies about projects to improve the tourist offer that are being carried out in BiH with the support of the European Union. She informed the attendees about the values and beauties of Herzegovinian cities, spoke about religious tourism in Međugorje, stećci in Radimlja near Stolac, and other religious and cultural monuments.
Promotional materials from the Herzegovina Regional Development Agency - REDAH about the specialties of this region, rural Herzegovina, and other brochures, as well as Herzegovinian wines Žilavka and Blatina, were also presented at the event.
After the presentation, which generated great interest, a promotional film about Herzegovina was available to the attendees, and discussions were also held about the possibility of holding the international SACKA meeting in early autumn this or next year in Mostar, it was announced from the MFA BiH.
