Ambassador Cormack to join volunteers in Maglaj cleanup on Wednesday

On the occasion of Earth Day on April 22, a cleanup action will be held in Maglaj on Wednesday, with the participation of U.S. Ambassador Maureen Cormack and Embassy staff, writes BH news agency Patria.

In this way, Ambassador Cormack conveys that everyone can contribute to positive changes, but together we achieve more.

Cormack launched the campaign „Choose a task, be the change“ in January to encourage citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina, especially young people, to engage in community projects by donating their time, resources and knowledge to bring about positive changes in their communities.

Marking 20 years of peace in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the goal of the Challenge is to motivate 20,000 volunteers to get involved in activities to improve their communities during 2015.

Opportunities for volunteer actions in the community are numerous, including environmental protection and cleanup actions, providing assistance to people in need, mentoring, cultural and entertainment activities. All activities can be registered via the Facebook page:
