
SARAJEVO, (Patria) - It is necessary to promote solutions for improving the business environment in BiH, it was said today at the meeting of the President and Director of the Employers' Association of FBiH Adnan Smailbegović and Mladen Pandurević with the Ambassador of Great Britain to BiH Matt Field. The meeting was also attended by the Director of the Employers' Association of Sarajevo Canton Zlatan Dedić and the economic advisor to the British Embassy Damir Šaljić.
The representatives of the Association presented the "20+5+6 Initiative" to the British Ambassador, which aims to ease the burden on the economy and improve the business environment in FBiH and BiH, and which was supported by a majority of votes at the thematic session of the House of Representatives of the Federal Parliament held in mid-April 2019.
The adoption of the "20+5+6 Initiative" will result in a reduction of the grey economy and an improvement of fiscal discipline, a reduction in unemployment, an increase in wages and investments, an increase in the competitiveness of the domestic economy, a simplification and acceleration of administrative procedures, as well as a reduction in business costs, said the representatives of the Association.
Ambassador Field assessed the Association's activities as positive and emphasized that he supports the efforts of the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament to improve the business environment. It was stated that, in the interest of the general social good, it is necessary to continue with reforms, and that the involvement of all actors in this process is essential, regardless of party or political interests.
