US Embassy asks CIK BiH, prosecutor's offices, and authorities to investigate and sanction electoral fraud

SARAJevo, (Patria) - Electoral irregularities reported by observers and documented by the Central Election Commission raise disturbing questions about the integrity of the electoral process, the US Embassy answered journalist Slobodan Vasković's question about the integrity of the elections.

"Electoral fraud and failures in accountability undermine citizens' trust in democracy and prevent citizens from holding their leaders accountable," the US Embassy added.

"We call on authorities at all levels, including the Central Election Commission, prosecutors, and law enforcement agencies, to thoroughly investigate credible reports of election violations, appropriately sanction perpetrators, and take any additional accountability measures based on the facts," the US Embassy in BiH Public Affairs Office responded.
