Aliyev: Azerbaijan and Armenia agree on 80 percent of peace agreement wording

(Patria) - Azerbaijan and Armenia have already agreed on almost 80 percent of the text of the bilateral peace agreement, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said yesterday, TASS reported.

- We can achieve peace in the South Caucasus. It is available. The latest developments on the negotiation path between Azerbaijan and Armenia show this - Aliyev stated at the 50th international Cernobbio Forum in Italy, reports the Azerbaijani news agency AzerTAg.

- We are actively continuing negotiations, with almost 80 percent of the peace agreement paragraphs approved. We have already started the delimitation process, and not just delimitation but demarcation. Yes, that is the first small step - Aliyev noted.

- Only about 13 kilometers of our border, which is over 1,000 kilometers long. But it is a step in the right direction, and we hope that Azerbaijan's initiative to start peace negotiations will result in a peace agreement - Aliyev concluded.
