Alipašino Polje: 22 years ago, 11 civilians killed and 53 wounded in a bread line

On this day in 1992, the first massacre occurred in Alipašino Polje on Trg solidarnosti street near number 14 (market), writes the BH News Agency Patria.

Eleven civilians were killed and 53 wounded by a shell fired from Serbian positions while they were waiting in line for bread. Family members, associations, and delegations from the Canton and City of Sarajevo laid flowers at the memorial.

Killed in the first massacre were: Rifet Bahtić, Jasmin Đozo, Muniba Ganija, Nermin Gušić, Zoran Kafedžić, Sadrija Krasnić, Nadežda Puljić, Daniel Turkalj, Edin Uzunović, and two unidentified persons.

Another massacre occurred on November 9, 1993, on ZAVNOBiH Square when three students and teacher Fatima Gunić, after whom the school would later be named, were killed.

On January 22, 1994, in Bosanska street, six children were killed by fired shells, and as many were wounded while they were sledding.
