Alibašić: Gaza is a sign that we have all fallen morally and humanly too low

There is no doubt that the suffering in Gaza and the occupation of Palestine all these decades is a sin of all humanity. However, according to the principle of concentric circles, the greatest guilt lies with those who are closest and most called upon to react. I mean the immediate neighbors, the Arab League and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, criticized dr. Ahmet Alibašić, a professor at the Faculty of Islamic Sciences in Sarajevo, for the Bosnian-Herzegovinian news agency Patria (NAP).

Most concretely, he said, Egypt, instead of being a refuge and shelter for attacked Palestinians, functions as an anvil on which the lives of Palestinian children are shattered.

- If it weren't for that anvil, the blows of the Israeli aggressor would not be so devastating and painful. The military regime in Cairo bears the responsibility for all Palestinian martyrs just as much as the government in Tel Aviv. But since those who are closest have not fulfilled their obligation to stop the aggression, it has become the collective guilt of all of us - said Professor Alibašić.

- All Arabs, Muslims, and all of humanity have fallen morally and humanly too low these days. Not to mention the Israelis and their allies - added Alibašić.

Since July 7, Israel has been carrying out air and sea attacks on Gaza, and a few days ago, the ground offensive of Israeli military troops on the Gaza Strip began. So far, hundreds of Palestinians have been killed, including a large number of children. Thousands of Palestinians have been wounded.

Israel is carrying out aggression on Gaza under the pretext of fighting terrorism, but their rockets daily hit hospitals, civilian settlements, and other facilities where they kill children, writes the Patria agency.
