Aleksandar Macan suspected of murdering police officers, international warrant to be issued

SARAJevo, (Patria) - At the proposal of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office, the Cantonal Court in Sarajevo ordered custody for Aleksandar Macan, suspected of murdering police officers of the MUP of KS Davor Vujinović and Adis Šehović in October 2018.  

"At the same time, at the proposal of the KTKS, an order was issued for the issuance of an international warrant," the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office announced. 

We remind you that on November 4, searches were carried out at several locations in East Sarajevo and Pale, and three people gave statements to SIPA. 

Macan was not found at his address, and a search was also carried out at the police station in Pale where Macan's wife is employed. 

Otherwise, Macan is the son-in-law of Milomir Savčić, an indictee for genocide in Srebrenica who fled Bosnia and Herzegovina after the BiH Court ordered him into custody for violating restraining orders. 

The MUP KS announced a few days after this operation that on November 5, they submitted a supplemented report to the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office and that, as far as the police are concerned, this case is "clarified". 

The Cantonal Prosecutor's Office called on the MUP KS and all other actors not to release information to the public as the investigation is still ongoing.
