(Patria) - At the beginning of 2019, the Law on Gambling Prohibition came into effect in Albania, after which 4,300 betting shops were closed.
The gambling ban does not only apply to cafes with betting shops, but also to online betting and casinos. Albanian media report that gambling in that country will henceforth be allowed only in five-star hotels and outside urban areas.
