The Operational-Communication Centre 112 of the Ministry of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina received a request this morning from the municipalities of Bileća and Bosansko Grahovo for the engagement of soldiers and helicopters of the Armed Forces of BiH in extinguishing fires that broke out in this area, reports the Patria News Agency.
The municipality of Bileća requested the engagement of one aircraft and 50 soldiers to help firefighters who are currently battling the fire. Assistance of one helicopter and members of the BiH Armed Forces was also requested from the municipality of Bosansko Grahovo.
The Ministry of Security of BiH, in accordance with its responsibilities, has carried out coordination activities with the Armed Forces of BiH to assist the endangered population as quickly and effectively as possible.
The Operational-Communication Centre of BiH 112 is carefully monitoring the situation on the ground to respond promptly in case of new fires, which are facilitated by the current high temperatures, the Ministry of Security of BiH announced.
