If Novalić's Decree Passes: DF Leaves Government, Refuses to Be Part of a Team for Looting State Companies

If the amendment to the Decree regulating the representation of state capital in majority state-owned companies remains on the agenda of tomorrow's session of the FBiH Government, the Democratic Front will most likely leave the majority in the Parliament of the Federation of BiH and leave the SDA and HDZ BiH to find a new coalition partner, reports the Patria news agency.

The Decree was placed on the agenda by Prime Minister Fadil Novalić without the knowledge of the Minister of Energy, Mining and Industry, Reuf Bajrović.

It is directly contrary to the Law on Public Enterprises, the Law on Electricity and other laws and by-laws that regulate ownership over majority state-owned enterprises.

-If this decree passes, then the relevant ministry can freely be shut down because the Government, in this case the HDZ and SDA, will directly control everything, i.e., dismiss and appoint management. We see no reason to remain part of a government that violates procedures and laws in a scramble for the spoils of state companies, explains one of the members of the DF Presidency for Patria.
