Operation Yellow: Dealers arrested in Old Town, heroin found

As part of the coded operation "Yellow" conducted on Thursday afternoon in the municipality of Stari Grad Sarajevo, police officers from the Department for Combating Abuse of Narcotic Drugs of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Sarajevo Canton arrested P.R., born in 1980 in Sarajevo, and M.Z., born in 1983 in Sarajevo, where they reside, on grounds of reasonable suspicion of committing the criminal offense of unauthorized production and trafficking of narcotic drugs, and L.V., born in 1980 in Sarajevo, residing in Pale, on grounds of reasonable suspicion of committing the criminal offense of possession and enabling the use of narcotic drugs, writes Patria.

During the personal search of the mentioned individuals, as well as the search of the residential buildings they use, the following were found and seized:

- by P.R., approximately 450 grams of a substance resembling the narcotic drug heroin, 8 methadone tablets, and a mobile phone,

- by M.Z., a mobile phone that she used together with P.R. during drug dealing,

- by L.V., a small package with a substance resembling the narcotic drug heroin and a mobile phone.

After the criminal investigation is completed, P.R. and M.Z. will be handed over to the prosecutor of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office in Sarajevo along with a report on the committed criminal offense, while L.V. will be released from the official premises, and a report on the committed criminal offense will be submitted to the competent prosecutor's office.
