UIO Operation in July: Potency Products, Cigarettes, Tobacco, Textiles Seized

(Patria) - Authorized officials of the Indirect Taxation Authority from RC Tuzla, during July 2025, carried out the temporary and permanent seizure of a larger quantity of various goods, including potency products, cigarettes, tobacco, and textiles.

Within the operational action "MARKET 2", which the UIO has been conducting since the beginning of the year throughout BiH, with the aim of detecting, sanctioning, preventing, and stopping the illegal trade of tobacco and tobacco products, a larger quantity of excise products and foreign-origin goods requiring permits, for which there was no legally prescribed documentation, nor were they marked in the legally prescribed manner, was found and seized from five individuals in the RC Tuzla area at three locations: 6,870 packs of various types of cigarettes, 54 kg
of finely cut tobacco, and 1,750 units of the potency product "KAMAGRA" and 240 units of the potency product "MACUN".

Based on received intelligence information about smuggled goods, a check of the trade and origin of goods was carried out on two sole proprietors from the RC Tuzla area, during which a larger quantity of foreign-origin goods, namely textile products for which there was no legally prescribed documentation (1,423 units of T-shirts, tracksuits, and dresses), was found and temporarily seized.

The total value of the seized goods in the mentioned operational actions amounts to approximately 121,000.00 BAM, while legally prescribed measures and actions were taken against the perpetrators of the established irregularities, with fines totaling 14,000 BAM.
