Operation underway: SIPA dismantles criminal groups

By order of the prosecutor of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, from the early morning hours, police officers of SIPA and police agencies providing support in the operation, in cooperation with the Indirect Taxation Authority of BiH (UIO), have been conducting searches and arrests at multiple locations targeting several individuals and legal entities who are the focus of these activities.

The arrested individuals are suspected of importing goods originating from the People's Republic of China between 2011 and 2014, through legal entities. They then forwarded these goods to individuals known to them, who sold the goods without recording them in their business books for cash in the Arizona market near Brčko District and in the Sarajevo area. To conceal this, they fictitiously recorded in their business books, through legal entities, that the goods were in stock.
