
(Patria) - Police officers of the Police Administration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton carried out an operation codenamed "Taxi" with the aim of documenting the unauthorized trafficking of narcotic drugs.
During searches conducted in the Old Town area, more than 100 kilograms of narcotic drugs, as well as a significant amount of weapons and ammunition, were found.
More than two kilograms of cocaine, more than four kilograms of speed, more than 80 kilograms of marijuana, more than 26,000 pieces – tablets of ecstasy (approx. 13.5 kg), more than 30 liters of amphetamine oil, two rifles, five pistols, two pistol silencers, more than 400 rounds of ammunition of various calibers, as well as other items of interest to the investigation were found and confiscated.
H.M. (1978) from Sarajevo was deprived of his liberty due to the existence of grounds for suspicion that he committed the criminal offenses of Unauthorized Production and Trafficking of Narcotic Drugs, Illegal Possession of Weapons or Explosive Materials, and a criminal offense from Article 74 of the Law on Unauthorized Production and Trafficking of Narcotic Drugs of Sarajevo Canton.
The estimated market value of the seized narcotics is over one million convertible marks.
After criminal processing, the suspected 47-year-old will be handed over to the further jurisdiction of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo Canton.
Police officers of the Police Administration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton continue intensive work on this case.
