Operation in East Sarajevo and Pale, arrest of killers of police officers Šehović and Vujinović

(Patria) - Suspected of participating in the murder of Sarajevo police officers Adis Šehović and Davor Vujinović three years ago, members of SIPA, in cooperation with the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Canton Sarajevo, have been conducting searches at at least eight locations in East Sarajevo and Pale since this morning, Istraga.ba has learned. The operation is being carried out by order of the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office and in cooperation with the Intelligence-Security Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

So far, one person has been arrested. More information should be available during the day.

We remind you that in October 2018, in a shooting that occurred around four in the morning in the Sarajevo neighborhood of Alipašino Polje, police officer Šehović was killed, while Vujinović was seriously wounded, from which he later succumbed. The shooting occurred when police officers caught a group of criminals stealing vehicles in Geteova Street.

According to Istraga's information, the killers used a special communication application. After this application was cracked, evidence also emerged. As we have learned, forensic experts managed to isolate the DNA of the main suspect in this case.
