Operation 'Trocadero': Seizure of around 160,000 packs of cigarettes without excise stamps

(Patria) - As part of the operation codenamed "Trocadero", the duty prosecutor of the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina coordinated activities in an operation in which, in the area of Banja Luka, police officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska carried out the seizure of approximately 160,000 packs of cigarettes without excise stamps.

In this case, the suspected persons, who are charged with illegal trafficking of excise products, will be questioned. The investigation in the case is intensively continuing.

The Prosecutor's Office of BiH, with partner institutions and agencies, is working on a larger number of cases related to the illegal trafficking of tobacco excise products in large quantities, which results in significant illegal property gains for the perpetrators, and causes damage to the budget and all citizens of BiH.
