Operation 'Transfer': Searches at six locations, stealing information of legal entities from the EU online

SARAJevo, (Patria) - The operation is being conducted in coordination with partner institutions from the European Union, as citizens and legal entities from EU countries have been harmed by the commission of criminal offenses.

On the order of a prosecutor from the Special Department for Organized Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption, police officers of SIPA, in the area of Canton Sarajevo and East Sarajevo, at a total of six locations, are searching certain facilities and premises, within the scope of a case being handled by the Prosecutor's Office of BiH.

The activities relate to the investigation against suspects who are accused of, in agreement and joint action with other persons, as members of an organized group, illegally collecting data via the internet from legal entities and companies from Austria and Germany.

After that, they forged payment orders in BiH, which they submitted to banks in Austria and Germany, and in this way illegally obtained payments and transfers of funds, from the accounts of legal entities from these two countries, to the accounts of members of the organized group of people, who, for the purpose of committing criminal offenses, opened accounts for that purpose in Croatia and BiH, and after the payments, withdrew the money and kept it for themselves.

The suspects are accused of criminal offenses: association for the purpose of committing criminal offenses, unauthorized access to a system and network for electronic data processing, fraud, forgery of documents, money laundering.

The prosecutor of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH who is handling the case, together with his team, is in constant contact and communication with colleagues from Croatia, Austria and Germany, in order to document and criminally prosecute the perpetrators of these criminal offenses.
