
(Patria) - Police officers from the Criminal Police Sector and the Police Support Sector of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton, acting on orders from the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, have been conducting searches at several locations in the Sarajevo Canton area since this morning. In cooperation with members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska, searches are also being conducted in the Rudo area.
The operational-tactical operation "Overdose II" is being carried out under the supervision of a prosecutor from the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, with the aim of documenting the criminal offenses of Organized Crime (Article 250 of the Criminal Code of BiH) in connection with Unauthorized Trafficking of Narcotic Drugs (Article 195, Paragraph 2 of the Criminal Code of BiH) and Unauthorized Trafficking of Weapons and Military Equipment and Dual-Use Products (Article 193 of the Criminal Code of BiH).
So far, during the searches, certain quantities have been found: unknown substance that visually resembles the narcotic drug heroin, unknown substance that visually resembles the narcotic drug cocaine, cash in EUR and BAM currency, weapons and ammunition, and cryptocurrency mining machines. Also, three passenger motor vehicles have been temporarily seized.
Criminal processing of several individuals is underway in the official premises.
The "Overdose II" operation is the result of operational work by police officers who analyzed data obtained by decrypting communications via the Sky application among the suspects, and it is a continuation of the operational-tactical operation conducted in April of this year.
