Operation NEON: Weapons, ammunition, safe with money, mobile phones, notebooks with names found

SARAJevo, (Patria) - Following a multi-month investigation, on February 6, 2018, police officers of the Federal Police Administration, under the supervision of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo Canton, began implementing the operational action "Neon" in the area of Sarajevo Canton, related to the criminal offenses of "Incitement to Prostitution", "Human Trafficking", and "Money Laundering".

As part of the mentioned action, and based on the Order of the Cantonal Court in Sarajevo, searches were carried out at three locations in the Sarajevo area, namely two apartments and one catering facility, and two individuals from Sarajevo with initials S.B. (born 1974) and S.D. (born 1986) were deprived of their liberty, who are linked to the aforementioned criminal offenses.

These are individuals who, in the previous period and during 2017, in order to gain unlawful property benefits continuously, enabled and organized the provision of sexual services to a larger number of unknown persons in the nightclub that was searched in this operation, by finding girls for sexual services and attracting clients through personal contacts or through other persons.

- During the searches, weapons, ammunition, a safe with a larger amount of money, medications, mobile phones and SIM cards, notebooks, and other items that can be linked to the criminal offenses in question were found and seized. The deprived individuals will be handed over to the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo Canton within the legal deadline, along with a report on the committed criminal offense, after criminal processing at the official premises of the Federal Police Administration - stated the FUP.

In addition to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton, the Tax Administration of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina provided assistance during the implementation of this operational action, which, based on the Order of the Cantonal Court in Sarajevo, undertook activities within its jurisdiction.
