Operation "Mreža" carried out early this morning: 58 locations searched, 30 persons arrested

In the operation codenamed "Mreža" carried out early this morning in several cities by members of the ZDK Ministry of Interior, 58 locations were searched and 30 persons arrested. They are suspected of being members of an organized group that committed criminal acts of unauthorized production and trafficking of narcotic drugs and illegal possession of weapons or explosive materials, announced by the ZDK Ministry of Interior, as reported by the Patria news agency. 

In the early morning hours, police teams began simultaneous searches at 51 locations in the Zenica-Doboj Canton area, four locations in the Central Bosnia Canton area, two locations in the Trebinje area, and one location in Posušje. 

Searches of facilities at 58 locations are being conducted with the aim of finding and temporarily seizing items that may serve as evidence in further proceedings, as well as locating and arresting 35 persons. During the implementation of the operational action "Mreža," 499 criminal acts were documented for which members of the organized group targeted by this action are suspected.

Police teams of the ZDK Ministry of Interior Police Administration in these activities are assisted by members of the Federal Police Administration and members of the Ministries of Interior of Sarajevo Canton, Tuzla Canton, and Central Bosnia Canton, with more than 450 police officers engaged on this occasion.

A., born in 1982, from Zenica; P. S., born in 1977, from Kakanj; B. H., born in 1975, from Zenica; A. E., born in 1986, from Zenica; M. A., born in 1985, from Zenica; H. A., born in 1990, from Zenica; Š. I., born in 1965, from Zenica; Š. A., born in 1996, from Zenica; H. M., born in 1989, from Zenica; O. F., born in 1976, from Zenica; H. N., born in 1982, from Zenica; M. E., born in 1992, from Zenica; R. A., born in 1977, from Travnik; B. A., born in 1995, from Zenica; H. E., born in 1987, from Zenica; L. E., born in 1953, from Zenica; Š. D., born in 1979, from Zenica; Š. M., born in 1980, from Zenica; H. Dž., born in 1990, from Maglaj; H. S., from Maglaj; and M. A., born in 1984, from Zenica.

So far, activities within the registered operation have found and temporarily seized 50 material pieces of evidence in the form of individual shipments of narcotic drugs. Also found and seized were three pistols, 1110.85 grams of narcotic drugs, five marijuana grinders, five digital scales for precise measurement, 92 pieces of ammunition, a larger quantity of tablets with psychoactive components, and one air pistol. 

The arrested persons are being brought to official premises, where criminal processing will be conducted, after which, along with a Report on the committed criminal act and the identification of perpetrators, they will be handed over for further proceedings to the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of the Zenica-Doboj Canton, announced by the ZDK Ministry of Interior.
