Operation Megan: Several people arrested, including police officers!

Federal Police Administration officers, after a multi-month investigation, in the early morning hours, under the supervision of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Herzegovina-Neretva Canton and with the engagement of Special Police Units of FUP, MUP of HNK and MUP of ZHK, began the implementation of the operational action "Megan 1" in the area of Herzegovina-Neretva and West Herzegovina Cantons. The operational action "Megan 1" is a continuation of the action "Megan", reports the Patria News Agency.

Within the scope of the mentioned action, and by the orders of the Municipal Courts in Mostar, Široki Brijeg and Ljubuški, searches have begun at nine locations in the municipalities of Mostar, Čapljina, Široki Brijeg and Ljubuški. Eight individuals have been deprived of liberty, namely six individuals from Mostar with initials A.G. (1985), S.B. (1989), B.A. (1983), O.M. (1989), D.K. (1985) and M.Š. (1985), one individual from Široki Brijeg with initials M.J. (1982) and one individual from Čapljina with initials M.R. (1987), while one more person is being sought. Among the arrested persons are also police officers.

The persons deprived of liberty are linked to the criminal offense of "Association for the Commission of Criminal Offenses" from Article 340, in conjunction with the criminal offenses of "Unauthorized Production and Trafficking of Narcotic Drugs" from Article 238 and "Usury" from Article 298 of the Criminal Code of FBiH.

So far, during the searches, a certain amount of unknown substances resembling the narcotic drugs "Speed", "Heroin" and "Cannabis" has been found and seized, along with a certain amount of firearms, mobile phones and SIM cards, and other items related to the mentioned criminal offenses.

After the searches are completed, the persons deprived of liberty will be brought to the official premises of the Federal Police Administration for criminal processing, after which they will be handed over to the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Herzegovina-Neretva Canton for further jurisdiction within the legal deadline, along with a report on the committed criminal offense.
