Operation 'Lipa': Searches at 20 locations for migrant smuggling

Police officers of the BiH Border Police, in the areas of Bihać, Velika Kladuša and Cazin, under the supervision of the BiH Prosecutor's Office, and by orders of the BiH Court, are carrying out an operational action, codenamed "LIPA".

During the implementation of the aforementioned activities, searches are being conducted at 20 locations used by 23 suspects, due to the existence of grounds for suspicion that they have committed the criminal offense of "Organized
crime" under Article 250 of the Criminal Code of BiH in conjunction with criminal offenses 189a of the Criminal Code of BiH "Organizing a group or association for the commission of the criminal offense of migrant smuggling", the criminal offense of "Human Smuggling" under Article 189, the criminal offense of "Unauthorized Possession of Weapons or Explosives" under Article 371 of the Criminal Code of FBiH, and the criminal offense under Article "Money Laundering" 209 of the Criminal Code of BiH.

The operation is being carried out by the BiH Border Police under the supervision of the BiH Prosecutor's Office and by order of the BiH Court.
