Klas Action: Free pastries distributed to Sarajevans in a tram

Bosnia and Herzegovina's food company Klas d.d. Sarajevo today distributed pastries and balloons to the citizens of Sarajevo in a tram on the Ilidža - Baščaršija route, marking March 1st, Independence Day of BiH, writes the BiH news agency Patria.

In the Klas tram, which was festively decorated for the occasion, young men and women in traditional attire distributed pastries, and citizens welcomed Klas's action with smiles. In this way, Klas wanted to remind of the role of Velepekara in the recent history of Sarajevo and BiH, especially during the aggression against BiH.

As stated by Klas spokesperson Irmela Cero, the main goal was to remind of the role of Velepekara during the war period.

- Velepekara did not stop working and delivered bread, pastries, and pasta every day. Thanks to that food, Sarajevo managed to survive - said Cero.

The tram departed at 12:00 PM from the premises of the GRAS company.
