Operation Kasper: MUP KS Seizes Large Quantity of Drugs and Weapons

(Patria) - Police officers of the Police Administration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton, under the supervision of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo Canton, carried out an operational action codenamed "KASPER".

By order of the Municipal Court in Sarajevo, searches were carried out at 12 locations in Sarajevo Canton, during which the following were found and temporarily confiscated: 1.2 kg of the narcotic drug Speed, 1.3 kg of the narcotic drug marijuana, 90 grams of the narcotic drug heroin, several items for repackaging and selling narcotic drugs (scales, etc.), money in the amount of 900.00 KM, one semi-automatic rifle, one automatic rifle M 56 with 4 magazines of ammunition, and 156 rounds of various calibers, one hand grenade, one pistol with a magazine and seven rounds of ammunition.

Seven individuals, repeat offenders, were deprived of their liberty. After criminal processing at the official premises of the Police Administration of the MUP KS, they will be handed over to the further jurisdiction of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo Canton due to the existence of grounds for suspicion that they have committed criminal offenses from Article 238, Paragraph 1 (Unauthorized Production and Trafficking of Narcotic Drugs) and Article 371 (Illegal Possession of Firearms and Explosive Devices) of the Criminal Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Article 74 of the Law on Public Order and Peace of Sarajevo Canton (Illegal Possession of Firearms).
