Operation 'Kasa': Another person arrested by SIPA

(Patria) - Edin Vreto, owner of the restaurant "Kibe", who is suspected in the "Kasa" operation, reported to the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) today. We remind you that the arrested individuals are accused of not reporting actual turnover through fiscal cash registers, specifically, they reduced the turnover and based on that, filed false tax returns and paid less tax than they should have.

These are mostly prominent catering facilities in the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Following a multi-month investigation by the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo and the State Investigation and Protection Agency, SIPA members arrested 12 individuals this morning on suspicion of tax evasion, abuse of position or authority, and computer forgery. Among the arrested individuals are mainly owners of Sarajevo catering establishments and responsible persons of companies that serviced fiscal cash registers.
