OPERATION SOUTH: 125 used vehicles and parts worth over 300,000 KM seized

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Authorized officers of the Indirect Taxation Authority carried out the long-planned and specially prepared operational action "South".

The goal of the action, which was carried out in the area of Mostar, Grude, Konjic, and Posušje, was to prevent illegal trade in vehicles and auto parts.

Activities in the field were carried out at eleven locations - scrapyards. On that occasion, 125 used vehicles and various other auto parts were temporarily seized.

The value of the temporarily seized goods amounts to 306,200 KM. Authorized ITA officials from all four regional centers of the Authority participated in the operation, and the competent Department for Enforcement of Regulations will process the individuals before the locally competent courts.

Given the frequent occurrence of such illegal activities, authorized ITA officials will prepare and carry out similar activities in the field in the future.
