Operation 'Golub': Arrests and searches in the area of Banja Luka, Zenica, and Novi Travnik

(Patria) - By order of the acting prosecutor of the Special Department for Organized Crime, Economic Crime, and Corruption, police officers of the BiH Border Police are carrying out arrests of suspects and searches of several locations in the area of Banja Luka, Zenica, and Novi Travnik.

These activities are a continuation of the work on the case codenamed “Golub”, and are directed at three individuals suspected of organized crime related to the unauthorized trafficking of larger quantities of the narcotic drug “marijuana-skunk”, which was smuggled from the territory of Albania, via Montenegro into Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as further towards Croatia and EU countries.

Evidence obtained from Sky and Anom applications was used in the case.

After the field activities are completed, the acting prosecutor will make a decision on further actions, the BiH Prosecutor's Office announced.
