Operation Fenix: 39-year-old arrested, drugs, weapons, money found

(Patria) - Police officers of the Criminal Police Sector and the Police Support Sector of the Sarajevo Canton Ministry of Internal Affairs Police Administration carried out the operational action "Fenix" with the aim of documenting and shedding light on the criminal offense of Unauthorized Production and Trafficking of Narcotic Drugs (Article 238, Paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina).

Based on the order of the Municipal Court in Sarajevo, police officers searched several residential buildings in the area of the municipality of Novo Sarajevo, during which the following were found and confiscated:

- a white substance that, by its characteristics, resembles the narcotic drug amphetamine sulfate – speed, with a total mass of approximately eight kilograms;
- several PVC packages with dry herbaceous matter that, by its characteristics, resembles the narcotic drug marijuana, with a total mass of four kilograms;
- two complete "indoor" laboratories for the illegal production of the narcotic drug marijuana, with a total of 102 cannabis plants (approximately 11 kilograms);
one PVC bag with a white substance that resembles the narcotic drug cocaine, approximately 200 grams; two rifles; two optical sights; one pistol; 43 rounds of ammunition; a certain amount of cash in EUR and BAM currency; professional tools for picking locks; other tools and items of interest for the proceedings.

A 39-year-old man, E.Dž. from Sarajevo, was deprived of his liberty due to the existence of grounds for suspicion that he committed the criminal offense of Unauthorized Production and Trafficking of Narcotic Drugs (Article 238, Paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina), Illegal Possession of Weapons or Explosive Materials (Article 371, Paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina), and the criminal offense under Article 74 of the Law on Public Order and Peace of Sarajevo Canton.

Police officers of the Sarajevo Canton Ministry of Internal Affairs Police Administration are continuing further work.
