Operation "Druker": Employee of the BiH Prosecutor's Office and another person arrested

Police officers of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) on Friday, in the operational action "Druker", deprived two persons of their liberty due to organized crime and corrupt criminal offenses, reports the BiH news agency Patria.

In the Sarajevo area, SIPA members deprived a person with initials M.S., an employee of the BiH Prosecutor's Office, of their liberty, while in the Grude area, a person with initials R.I. was deprived of their liberty.

As part of this operation, SIPA members searched facilities at six locations in the Grude area last night, with the aim of finding and temporarily seizing items that could serve as evidence in further proceedings.

The aforementioned activities were carried out by order of the Court of BiH and the Prosecutor's Office of BiH.

- The "Druker" operation was preceded by a multi-month complex criminal investigation during which the illegal activities of the suspects were documented. The persons deprived of their liberty were brought to the official premises of the State Investigation and Protection Agency, where criminal processing is being carried out, after which they will be handed over to the Prosecutor's Office of BiH for further proceedings, along with a report on the committed criminal offense. Activities in this case are intensively continuing - it was announced from SIPA.

It was determined that the employee of the BiH Prosecutor's Office acted illegally during the investigation, without the knowledge of their superior prosecutors, disregarding established legal procedures, and committed several illegalities and breaches of official duty.

- The Prosecutor's Office of BiH will soon announce the full identity of the suspect against whom criminal and disciplinary proceedings will be initiated, and the identity has not been disclosed at this time, so as not to jeopardize the ongoing investigative activities. The Prosecutor's Office of BiH has taken all measures to secure evidence, so that the mentioned suspect cannot jeopardize the ongoing investigation in any way - it was announced from the Prosecutor's Office of BiH.
