ACTION Donate aid for Turkey and Syria today from 10 AM to 4 PM at Red Cross Novo Sarajevo

(Patria) - In order to alleviate the humanitarian consequences of the earthquakes in Turkey and Syria, the Red Cross in Bosnia and Herzegovina is organizing numerous aid campaigns.

One of the actions is taking place today, February 12, 2023, at the premises of the Red Cross Novo Sarajevo, Envera Šehovića street 11, from 10 AM to 4 PM.

"In cooperation with the Red Cross of the Federation of BiH, tomorrow we are organizing an action to collect basic necessities according to the needs lists of the Turkish Red Crescent," states Boris Jovanović from the Red Cross Novo Sarajevo.

The most needed items are blankets, heaters, sleeping bags, folding chairs and beds, kitchen sets, canned food, as well as winter clothing such as jackets, coats, sweaters, and boots.

"Regarding canned food, it is important that it is food that can last longer and is not perishable. Our volunteers will be involved in collecting, sorting, and in cooperation with the Red Cross of the Federation of BiH, in further distribution to the Turkish Red Crescent," adds Jovanović.
