DERBY OPERATION 44-YEAR-OLD ARRESTED, DRUGS AND WEAPONS FOUND

(Patria) - Police officers from the Department for Combating Narcotic Drug Abuse, under the supervision of the prosecutor on duty at the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo Canton, carried out an operation codenamed "Derby" with the aim of documenting criminal offenses of unauthorized trafficking of narcotic drugs.

During the search of the suspect, four PVC packages containing a substance that resembles the narcotic drug speed, with a total gross weight of approximately 1.015 grams, one PVC package containing a dry herbal substance that resembles the narcotic drug marijuana, two digital scales with traces of a substance that resembles a narcotic drug, one pistol and 30 rounds of ammunition, as well as other items of interest to the investigation, were found and seized.

A 44-year-old male, A.P. from Sarajevo, was deprived of his liberty on grounds of suspicion that he committed the criminal offense of Unauthorized Production and Trafficking of Narcotic Drugs (Article 238, Paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of FBiH) and Unauthorized Acquisition and Possession of Firearms (Article 74 of the Law on Unauthorized Possession, Control, and Carrying of Weapons and Ammunition of Sarajevo Canton).

Criminal processing is being carried out on the suspect in the official premises of the Police Administration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton, after which he will be handed over to the further jurisdiction of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo Canton.
