Clean-up action in the Blagaj local community

(Patria) - Eco HUB Blagaj, coordinated by the Youth Club Novi Val, held a clean-up action with the local community of Blagaj. The clean-up action took place at the location – the Bunica recreational center.
Members of the associations STK Blagaj, SPK Blagaj, as well as members of the Bunica boating team, LAKS, and other associations, informal groups, and citizens who joined the action also participated in this clean-up.

"During the clean-up action, we found huge amounts of waste, as well as two mini-landfills located at this site. In conversation with municipal inspectors, it was agreed that in the coming days, JP Komos Mostar will remediate another landfill that requires heavy machinery.

During the clean-up action, 400 m of the riverbank were cleaned, and 70 bags of waste were collected. We would like to take this opportunity to thank the City of Mostar – the Department of Communal Affairs and J.P Komos Mostar for the support provided during the implementation of the RC Bunica clean-up action. If we want a healthy and clean environment, we must adhere to the slogan 'Think about nature!'

On this occasion, Novi Val Blagaj and Eco HUB Blagaj invite all citizens of Blagaj, Stolac, Nevesinje, Ljubinje, and Čapljina to report their ecological incidents via the Eco alarm located on the website www.novival.info so that we can jointly react to ecological problems. Eco HUB Blagaj, coordinated by the Youth Club Novi Val Blagaj, was launched as part of the 'Think about nature!' project implemented by the Center for the Promotion of Civil Society, and financially supported by the Government of Sweden," it was announced.
