Operation Speed: FUP arrests 12 drug dealers in the area of Tuzla Canton

Police officers of the Federal Police Administration, after a several-month investigation, today under the supervision of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Tuzla Canton, and in cooperation with police officers of the Ministry of Interior of Tuzla Canton, the Brčko District Police and the Ministry of Interior of Republika Srpska, began implementing the operational action „Speed“ in the areas of the municipalities of Tuzla, Kladanj, Brčko and Zvornik, announced the Federal Police Administration, reports the Patria news agency.

As part of the said action, and by orders of the competent courts, searches began at 15 locations in the above-mentioned areas and so far twelve persons have been arrested who are linked to the criminal offense of unauthorized production and trafficking of narcotic drugs.

So far, during the searches, 500 grams of an unknown substance that by its appearance resembles the narcotic drug „Cannabis Sativa L“, a certain amount of weapons and ammunition, precision scales, mobile phones and SIM cards, and other items related to the said criminal offense have been found and seized.

After the searches, the arrested persons will be brought to the official premises of the Federal Police Administration for criminal processing, after which they will be handed over within the legal deadline along with a Report on the committed criminal offense to the competent Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Tuzla Canton, the statement reads.
