Operation 'Broker': Searches at multiple locations in Sarajevo for money laundering and abuse of office

(Patria) - Police officers of the State Investigation and Protection Agency today, as part of the operational action "Broker", began conducting searches at multiple locations in the Sarajevo area.

Searches of business premises are being conducted due to the existence of grounds for suspicion that the criminal offenses of "Abuse of office or authority" and "Money laundering" prescribed by the Criminal Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina have been committed, in such a way that the suspect, during a certain period, illegally traded shares of one of the issuers of shares on the securities market in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Searches are being conducted by order of the Cantonal Court in Sarajevo and under the supervision of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo Canton.
